Wierd (cool and not too cool) Things We Saw on the Drive to Alabama:
1. Not one but two 50 foot tall crosses made out of aluminum siding
2. Giant rubber duck on a building in Nashville
3. "Stinky Creek Road"--well not the road itself but a sign pointing the way.
4. A man urinating on the side of the road (but not on Stinky Creek Road)
5. A cloud that looked EXACTLY like a high heeled boot
6. Seven white cars (all different makes and models) in a row on the interstate
7. 3 people with flat tires
8. Alice in Wonderland trees (spade shaped trees in the medians in Tennessee)
9. A herd of deer on the side of the road
10. A lit up firefly splatting on my windshield--kind of gross but it flouresced for quite a while.
Crappy Things About the Drive Down and Getting Settled
1. No air conditioning in the van
2. When we stopped for the first night all the hotels were sold out and we had to drive about 2 more hours to find a place to stay
3. Lots and lots of construction
4. Only being able to do 35 mph up some of the hills in Tennessee
5. The tire falling off the car carrier trailer 20 miles outside of Auburn at about 10:30 at night
6. The Knight's Inn in Opelika (I'll add some pictures just so you know what I'm talking about)
7. Dave taking the van to get the air fixed and the window falling out and shattering into a thousand pieces on the road
8. The stinkin' telephone not working for the first few days we were here
9. The dmv not letting David register the van because stupid Slobadon Milosevic or whatever the heck his name was filled in the title wrong
10. Harry Potter's (our pet snake) food rotting in the cooler because the ice couldn't compete with the heat

10. The boys actually love to play outside and the neighborhood is so quiet I'm ok with that
Things I Will Miss About Rochester (here are 10 although I'm sure I'll keep thinking of more)
1. My friends *sob*
2. Being close the Church History Sites in Palmyra
3. Convenience--everything was so convenient there: the bank, the grocery store, the library, shopping

Thanks for including me in there, but personally, Wegmans would have been a bit higher on my list. ;)
Sorry, I should have mentioned they were listed in no particular order. Heh.
