On this day in history:
- Virginia becomes the 10th state to ratify the United States Constitution. (1788)
- Lt. Col. George Armstrong Custer dies at the Battle of the Little Bighorn (1876)
- The Diary of Anne Frank is published. (1947)
- Mozambique achieves independence. (1975)
- Missouri Governor Christopher S. Bond issues an executive order rescinding the Extermination Order, formally apologizing on behalf of the state of Missouri for the suffering it had caused the Latter Day Saints. (1976)
- India wins the final of the Cricket World Cup against the mighty West Indies (1983)
- Croatia and Slovenia declare their independence from Yugoslavia. (1991)
- Jill Cassidy marries David Dunn for time and all eternity. (1997)
It's been 12 years. Without saying a lot of gushy, cliche, mumbo-jumbo, let me just say this: It was a really good decision.
In honor of the occasion I made a list. Here it is:
12 Things I Love About David
- He makes me laugh almost every day
- He is a wonderful dad
- He lives the Gospel of Jesus Christ with faith and integrity
- He is a hard worker
- He is the smartest guy I know
- He is humble
- He is easy going
- He is athletic (he rides his bike to work almost every day--even in the 97 degree heat)
- He doesn't complain
- He puts up with my faults and loves me regardless
- He makes fantastic curry (and cake, and gumbo and bread and waffles and. . .)
- He is handsome (and he just keeps getting better with age)
Happy anniversary sugar. ;) I love you.
