• Missouri Governor Christopher S. Bond issues an executive order rescinding the Extermination Order, formally apologizing on behalf of the state of Missouri for the suffering it had caused the Latter Day Saints. (1976)

• Croatia and Slovenia declare their independence from Yugoslavia. (1991)

It's been 12 years. Without saying a lot of gushy, cliche, mumbo-jumbo, let me just say this: It was a really good decision.

1. He makes me laugh almost every day
2. He is a wonderful dad
3. He lives the Gospel of Jesus Christ with faith and integrity
4. He is a hard worker
5. He is the smartest guy I know
6. He is humble
7. He is easy going
8. He is athletic (he rides his bike to work almost every day--even in the 97 degree heat)
9. He doesn't complain
10. He puts up with my faults and loves me regardless
11. He makes fantastic curry (and cake, and gumbo and bread and waffles and. . .)
12. He is handsome (and he just keeps getting better with age)
