Middle School Survivor

DMSDebbieBeebePic 4jpg

I learned something interesting yesterday. Apparently the principal of my oldest son’s middle school was a contestant on last season’s Survivor (season18).

Mrs. Beebe (Debra), age 46, was the 11th of 16 contestants to be voted off the island--not too shabby. I think if any one out there is suited to be a contestant on the show that many consider “the mother of American reality tv” it is a woman who has to deal with hundreds of 6th and 7th graders (and their parents) five days a week. Don’t you?

If you want to read a little bit more about the woman I am turning my baby over to in August you can do so  here.

That's pretty cool! I used to enjoy watching Survivor, but it has gotten so repetitive and predictable, even with a new season of contestants that I barely even notice when it begins/ends!

That's pretty cool for him to have her as his principal. I watched a little of Survivor and thought she handled herself really well with all those younger constestants. I agree that handling all those middle school kids is training in itself for Survivor. She survives everyday in school.
