I took Daniel to the park by our house this morning. We wore shorts and took off our shoes in the sand. I could feel the sun on my neck—warming me gently without burning. 
The dogwoods are starting to bloom. I have such happy memories of playing in the dogwood trees in our front yard in Birmingham growing up. They are lovely trees.

We didn't get to wear shorts but we did share a quesadilla for lunch. My lovely was Jack starting to say "Cheese Please." He really like his cheese.
My niece gained nearly a pound in 3days. She is an ounce over her birth weight and no longer in an incubator. I am still holding out hope that I will get to hold her when I go in a week and a half.
