Welcome to another random sampler from our lives.
Last week I found this feather as I was walking to our mailbox. I thought it was so pretty, despite it's ruffled appearance, that I had to snap a picture of it.
Speaking of finding things, David found a penny. While this doesn't sound like very exciting news, it gets better. It wasn't just any penny, it was a wheat penny. Still not all that impressed? Well, have you ever seen a wheat penny from 1958 that was this shiny? Me neither! It looked like new. I have seen 2011 pennies that look more tarnished than this one. We were pretty excited. Yeah, I guess it doesn't take much.
We recently went on a day hike with the Webelos. Of course I brought my camera and took lots of pictures. I can't help it, okay? I know some people think I'm silly but it's how I operate. One of the dads made some snide remark about my taking pictures of weeds. Apparently he doesn't appreciate nature the way I do. I like my pictures of weeds. Even if David says this photo looks like it belongs on the album cover of Linda Ronstadt's Greatest Hits.
Pshaw.
Well, maybe. What do you think?

That is an awesome pic of the weeds. Way better than a Linda Ronstadt CD cover. Love the cupcake pic!
I would say a bit more Carly Simon than Linda Ronstadt. ;D
That pictures of Danny is the cutest ever.
