This is skunk. The one on the right. :) He is a corn snake that David brought home to be our new pet. As you may know, we had a corn snake before. His name was Harry. Harry escaped after Nate made a hole in the screen on the top of the cage. We never found him and can only assume that he found his way outside and is loving the warm Alabama weather. Hopefully he has made lots of friends. Anyway, after Harry ran away from home we put his tank up in the attic and got some fish instead. Now, we have a snake again. In my opinion snakes make excellent pets. They are only slightly more trouble than a pet rock. We only have to change the bedding in the cage maybe once or twice a year. He only eats once a week and we have access to a cheap food source. ;) Despite his name, he does not stink. Not even a little. He is not slimy contrary to what some might think; he is smooth and very muscular. He can do the most awesome tricks like when he coiled up in a circle and hung upside down from the screen at the top of his tank. And just look how cuddly he is. Kidding. Still, although he is not cuddly he is pretty cool. At least we think so.

He also makes a beautiful accessory.
All I have to say is, I'm glad you're okay with snakes. I could never handle a snake in the house--especially if it escaped (like the last one did)! Because of that, you're probably the best mom on the planet.
Those lucky Dunn boys to have you for their Mom (and Wife)!

Oy, I think I'll stick with cats. Your boys are definitely lucky to have such a cool mom.
