Saturday we had a fun little get together at our house courtesy of Kraft foods. I learned about the program from my friend Danielle. You can sign up for a chance to host a party at www.houseparty.com
It was a lot of fun. We were able to sample some new products from Kraft:
- Ritz Crackerfuls (I loved these. A lot of people didn’t try them at the party but took some with them when they left)
- 100 Calorie Cheese Bites (parents commented on how these would be a great snack to send to school or bring to the gym)
- Kool-aid Fun Fizz (a hit with the kids)
- Kraft Homestyle Macaroni and Cheese (loved this—real homemade taste)
- DiGiorno Pizza and Breadsticks (yum)
- Oscar Meyer Shaved Deli Meats (we had croissants so that people could make little sandwiches—ham, turkey and beef salami. Delicious!)
In addition Kraft sent lots of valuable coupons, mini frisbees and beachballs (HUGE hit with the kiddos), a nice canvas apron, reusable shopping bags, cute napkins and plates with the colorful “Taste What’s New and Delicious” logo and fun ideas for planning the party.
We started with the tastings for appetizers and we had people bring their own meat to grill and two friends brought dessert and salad to share. I made potato salad, baked beans, acini de pepe fruit salad and lemonade. We decorated with paper lanterns and tikki torches.
The kids enjoyed water balloons, squirt guns and running through the sprinkler. We also had some other outdoor activities like bubbles and sidewalk chalk available.
I’m hoping to be able to do it again in the future. I sincerely do love Kraft products and you can’t beat free! I think everyone that came had a great time.
