When I picked Joel up after his Science Olympiad practice, he shared his Jolly Ranchers with me. He gave me a grape one and told me that he wanted to share with me because he loves me. Lovely child.
Sometimes it’s just really nice to feel pretty. I don’t always. It seems that these days I’m almost always sporting peanut butter and jelly fingerprints on my clothes or dark circles under my eyes, but today three people told me I looked cute. Two of them specifically mentioned my hair (which I took the time to straighten with my flat iron). I haven’t been too keen on my hair lately so that was big.
Tonight was the annual birthday party for the women’s organization at church. It was definitely lovely. Being around those beautiful, faithful women made me so happy. Listening to women share their special experiences with temple attendance was uplifting and sweet. Getting lots of hugs and chatting it up with friends was an added bonus.
I have spring fever. The flowers are amazing right now. I always feel lucky to live in Alabama in the springtime. The weather was gorgeous this afternoon so I took advantage of it and went for a short little walk around the neighborhood. I *might have* skipped a little and clicked my heels when no one was looking.
I feel so loved and blessed this evening. I hit the jackpot in the lovely department today.
What loveliness did the day bring to you?

We got to go to Bethanie's second grade music concert yesterday. They sang eight songs. Bethanie was asked to play the steel drum for one of the songs. She did a fantastic job!
I am such a bawl baby. Whenever I see kids feeling geniunely happy, it makes me cry. It is so lovely!
PS- Your hair does look really cute!
I'm jealous of all the color in Alabama! Colorado is still very, very, very brown!
BUT, because Garry had to work late, once I got the kids in bed I talked to a friend on the phone for an hour and a half. That was definitely the most lovely part of my day.
