This stuff is the real deal. I have never had such strong, hot, spicy goodness in a ginger ale before! Wow! I've always liked the dry ginger ales but this variety of "golden ginger ale" makes Canada Dry and Schweppes seem down right watery. I found this stuff at Wal-mart. Apparently it's brewed just north of here in a town you might have heard of called Birmingham, Alabama. This is the desription from the back of the can:
"Buffalo Rock Golden Ginger Ale had its beginnings on the battlefields of the Civil War, when the healthful properties of ginger were used as a tonic for war-weary soldiers. Such was the popularity of the drink by the turn of the century, that the Buffalo Rock Company was launched in 1901. Real ginger flavoring is still used in the caffeine-free formula which has remained largely unchanged for more than a century. Refreshingly tangy when served by itself, Buffalo Rock aslo makes a delicious float when poured over ice cream. Enjoy this unique, traditional beverage!"
If you like the flavor of ginger you'll love this. If you are interested in trying something different this is powerful stuff but delicious nevertheless. I don't plan to give up dry ginger ale entirely but this is a fun change. I'm thinking it'd be great to keep a can in the car for motion-sickness or a couple cans in the medicine closet for nausea. If you can get your hands on some I'd highly recommend trying it.

Very interesting information Jill. I don't know if I would dare to try something that spicy!! It looks very unique, though!
