"Don't You Have a Good Feeling?"

How beautiful a day can be
When kindness touches it!
~George Elliston

I just wanted to share this little message about kindness. I get choked up a little every time I watch it.

Today was one of those days where it seemed like I was home for maybe a total of an hour the whole day. Appointments, errands, obligations. I came home to drop off groceries, grab a bite to eat, start dinner—in and out: ten minutes here, half and hour there. You probably have had days like that yourself. Still, in all the comings and goings , there was time for kindness. We can always make time for kindness.

Today’s Kindnesses to Others: #1—I went and cleaned our church with my family and a couple of other friends. I volunteered to do all the toilets. ;D  #2—Also, I gave a generous tip to the girl who cut my hair.

Today’s Kindnesses that I Received: #1—The girl that cut my hair did a great job. (Sometimes kindnesses are a “I’ll scratch your back if you scratch mine” kind of thing). ;) #2—A very sweet little girl in Nate’s class brought me a cookie and a brownie flower (kind of like these) while I was there for the Mother’s Day celebration. Her shy smile helped brighten my day.

What did you do today to make the world a better place?
